Description
Maxorb Extra Ag+ CMC and Alginate Dressings represent advanced wound care technology combining the benefits of calcium alginate and carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) with antimicrobial silver ions. This highly absorbent dressing is specifically designed for moderate to heavily exudating wounds, providing superior fluid management while maintaining optimal moisture balance for healing. The silver-enhanced formula offers broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection against bacteria commonly found in chronic wounds, including MRSA and VRE. Upon contact with wound exudate, the alginate fibers form a soft gel that conforms to the wound bed, creating an ideal healing environment while the CMC component provides additional absorption capacity. Maxorb is trusted by healthcare professionals worldwide for its proven clinical outcomes in wound management. The dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days, reducing dressing change frequency and associated patient discomfort. Its excellent conformability makes it suitable for various wound types including pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, and surgical wounds requiring extended wear time.
Suggested Use
Clean wound area according to facility protocol. Apply dressing directly to wound bed, ensuring complete coverage. Secure with appropriate secondary dressing or tape. Change when saturated or as clinically indicated, typically every 3-7 days. Remove gently to avoid trauma.
