Description

Nexium 24HR Delayed Release Capsules provide 24-hour protection from frequent heartburn and acid reflux with just one daily dose. This proton pump inhibitor (PPI) contains esomeprazole magnesium, which works differently than antacids by reducing the amount of acid your stomach produces rather than simply neutralizing existing acid. The delayed-release formulation ensures the medication reaches the small intestine where it can be properly absorbed and begin working effectively. Nexium 24HR is clinically proven to provide all-day and all-night heartburn protection, making it ideal for people who experience frequent heartburn episodes (2 or more days per week). The 14-capsule package provides a full two-week treatment course, which is the recommended duration for over-the-counter PPI use. Originally available only by prescription, Nexium is now accessible over-the-counter for convenient self-treatment of frequent heartburn. The capsules are easy to swallow and should be taken whole for optimal effectiveness. This medication is particularly beneficial for individuals whose heartburn interferes with daily activities or sleep quality.

Suggested Use

Adults 18 years and older: Take one capsule daily with a glass of water before eating, preferably in the morning. Swallow whole; do not crush or chew. Use for 14 days to treat frequent heartburn. May repeat 14-day course every 4 months if needed.
