Description
Restore Calcicare Calcium Alginate Wound Care Dressing provides advanced healing for moderate to heavily draining wounds. This sterile, biocompatible dressing is made from calcium alginate fibers derived from natural seaweed, which forms a soft gel when in contact with wound exudate. This gel-forming action creates an optimal moist healing environment while absorbing up to 20 times its weight in fluid. The calcium ions released during the gelling process may help support the body's natural clotting cascade. Each 4" x 4" dressing conforms easily to wound contours and can be cut to fit various wound sizes and shapes. The non-adherent properties prevent trauma during dressing changes, promoting patient comfort and protecting newly formed tissue. Suitable for use on diabetic ulcers, pressure sores, surgical wounds, and other chronic or acute wounds with moderate to heavy drainage. Restore's medical-grade manufacturing ensures consistent quality and sterility. Each box contains 10 individually wrapped dressings. Can remain in place for up to 7 days depending on wound condition and exudate levels.
Suggested Use
Cleanse wound according to facility protocol. Select dressing size to overlap wound edges by 1/4 inch. Apply directly to wound bed and secure with appropriate secondary dressing. Change when dressing becomes saturated or as clinically indicated, typically every 1-7 days.
